Default Question about easiest Professions

Hi guys

I'm new to Guild Wars and thought I'll try it out before Guild Wars 2 hits.

Right now I picked a Warrior/Monk. He seems pretty good but if I'm going to solo most of the game is this the best option?

If I keep to my Warrior should I use axes/swords/shields?

What other good professions combinations are good to use to steamroll through content.

And could someone please list me some builds from that wiki site ummm...

This game is not about soloing any part of the pve content like the missions farming is where you can solo if you desire.
This game is about using henchmen:http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Henchman then once far enough you get hero's:http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hero.

Hero's are stronger then henchmen only because you can change the skill bars but as I say to most people starting out stick with henchmen until you get the hang of the game.

As for builds for your warrior there's tons like earthshaker from the hammer line dragon slash from the sword line endurance from strength to create a powerful chain of attacks.

For my last words 'd like to say good luck warrior is a fun profession and easy to use

The best guide for any starting warrior including old pro's too

I am presuming you mean your skill templates if so its where you can link a build to your character if you have all the required skills well you can use that build but by no means does it require you to have all skills needed for a build to work.

The easy way of describing what it is; is by linking a wiki page for you sorry I can't be any more clearer:http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Template

P.S, I know there's a fair bit of reading involved but I think time spent understanding a class is the way to go....

W/Mo is fine. I like axes myself, zealous axe if you can find one, and of course a good shield will help protect you.

OQcUELJX3PRvlcF7gKFRFieuFiaA decode this with the decode option on the pvxwiki page. Build I most often use. High party protection and heavy damage. Normal mode, just use what you can based on skills you have. Should be a cakewalk for the most part.

If you started in Nightfall, get those heroes leveled up and equipped. Until you do, henchmen in all parts of the game are pretty good.

The other class most often recommended for waffle stomping the game is Ranger, Pet Master. Stand off on a hill and shoot with arrows. Let your pet do the heavy damage. Pets have a lot of armor and survive better than you do.

OggUY17ijsSvl+gfG6G7G4G/G0GA A ranger BM build, works in HM too. In Normal Mode, everything just dies.

The other classes do work, but are a bit harder right at first.

Since I don't wish to link a ton of builds from PvX I'll do it the easy way: http://www.gwpvx.com/Category:Meta_w...general_builds
Look under W, there's 3 good warrior builds for you If you look under T you'll find solid teambuilds, these are for your heroes once you get them. http://www.gwpvx.com/Category:Meta_working_hero_builds for more hero builds.
As you might have noticed - you need quite a lot of skills for your heroes, and here's the best way to get them.

I suggest you take your time to create a pvp only ranger and then start doing zaishen challenge (zc) http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Zaishen_Challenge (as you won't have enough skills (e.g. spells) to really compete in any other pvp. Do zc with the henchment available until you've gotten enough balthazar faction to unlock a trapper's build for your ranger http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:Team_-_Ba...aishen_Trapper I personally use this: OgAScZMT+GchLHNHKHJHDXXH (decode here: http://www.gwpvx.com/Special:PvXDecode)
The goal is to get you a decent trapper's build so you can join others in zaishen elite (ze) so you can farm balthazar faction every day. This will give you money if you spend 5k balthazar faction for a zaishen key and then sell it for 5k. Or you can use it to unlock more skills for your pvp only characters, your heroes and make the skills available to learn from any skilltrainer so your pve characters have access to them too.
Note that zc is capped at 2k/day and ze at 6k/day. If you get more than 2k from ze you can't get any from zc that day, and if you get 2k from zc you can only get 4k from ze that day.

Anyways, to make myself clear: earn balthazar factions (ze is the easiest way) so you can (mainly) unlock skills for your heroes so they become a force to be reconed with.

Warrior Is a great Choice ( Im one Myself on my Main ) , But Tbh play what prof you enjoy best they all have there pro and Cons , I like Axe combined with Rts and Necro Heros with skills like Splinter Wepon and Barbs etc to Boost my overall dmg.
As people have Said Best place for Builds for New players and Old is PvX

Good Luck!
